This course is designed to prepare students for an occupation within the criminal justice or law enforcement fields. Students will study basic criminal investigation techniques, mechanics of search, communications, emergency medical police procedures, rescue and safety, traffic and crowd control, and related scenarios. Sections covered include fitness readiness, intermediate report writing, criminal law and procedure, introduction to self-defense, collision investigation, homeland security, communications, ethics and professionalism. Prerequisite: Law Enforcement I

This course is designed to prepare students for entry into occupations in law enforcement, corrections, or criminal justice. While students will not be able to be certified as police, corrections or criminal justice officers, they will be given the necessary skills to perform basic tasks in the occupation as auxiliary personnel and go on for further training at a postsecondary institution. Sections covered include police procedures, detention procedures, investigative procedures, human relations and communications, fitness readiness, criminal law and procedure, and Idaho Council Code.
